Special Olympics Iowa is pleased to announce the team that will be representing Iowa at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis! In June, more than 4,500 athletes and coaches from all 50 states will travel to Minneapolis to compete before more than 85,000 fans, spectators, and volunteers.

The USA Games are scheduled to take place from June 20-26, 2026, at the prestigious University of Minnesota, the official host venue. In addition to the University, the event will unfold across other premier locations, including the National Sports Center in Blaine. The games will showcase 16 Olympic-style team and individual sports, including athletics (track & field), basketball, bocce, bowling, cheerleading, cornhole, flag football, golf, gymnastics, pickleball, powerlifting, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, and volleyball.
