Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a lung illness that can spread from person to person. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a new coronavirus that was first discovered in Wuhan, China.

What are the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Patients with coronavirus (COVID-19) have a mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of:

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of breath

Most people with coronavirus (COVID-19) will have a mild illness, but some will get more sick and may need to be hospitalized.  Seek medical advice if you develop symptoms, and have been in close contact with a person known to have coronavirus (COVID-19).

Illness Prevention

• Wash your hands often
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
• Avoid contact with people who are sick
• Stay home if you don’t feel well
• Get plenty of sleep
