Per Iowa State's policy, all volunteers will be screened for sex offender violations.

Rob Wagner named 2013 Special Olympics Coach of the Year
Special Olympics Iowa is honored to announce the selection of Rob Wagner of North Liberty as Special Olympics North America’s 2013 Coach of the Year. Wagner was presented with the national award during the 2014 Special Olympics Iowa State Winter Games in Dubuque on January 14.
The 2013 Coach of the Year finalists represent Special Olympics North America’s most exemplary coaches - true leaders and dedicated volunteers who serve as role models to other coaches, inside and outside of Special Olympics. An athlete himself, Wagner’s dedication and enthusiasm for coaching after 30 years was obvious among the 120,000 other candidates.
Wagner also dedicates his time to mentoring University students, establishing new Special Olympics sports programs and ensuring coaches and athletes are in good hands across the nation.
