Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day Resources & Events for September 27, 2014

Once again this year, the Special Olympics family around the world will celebrate the legacy of Eunice Kennedy Shriver with a day consisting of individual events held at the local, national, regional and global level.  Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day is September 27, 2014, and to help programs develop events that illustrate the value of inclusion, Special Olympics has released new graphics that are aligned with our master brand.

The new guidelines, templates, banners, logos and other files are available at http://www.specialolympics.org/eksday/.  The Resources site also provides helpful photo, video and social media assets for use in conjunction with Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day. To be clear: we are no longer using the old EKS+ and/or green and grey EKS logo or artworks for Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day, per the branding alignment note above.

SOI has asked everyone to please be sure to register their EKS Day events via the Event Registration Form as soon as possible this month, prior to EKS Day. You can also submit them to Amie Dugan, SONA (send via email).  Post-event, please submit your final report form, capturing your Program’s EKS Day-Related activities, to Victoria Rivers, SOI.

The 2014-2015 Schedule of Events for competitions (as of 9/05/14) can be downloaded here.

Please note that the website gets updated as event times/dates change and as events are added.
