Special Olympics Iowa athlete to be a Super Plunger!

Kyler and Dr. Jay Summer Games 2007.JPG

The newest member of the Super Plunge team is Kyler Prunty, 20 year old Special Olympics Iowa athlete and Global Messenger from Creston. Kyler participated in the Indianola Plunge and had a blast, prompting him to become a Super Plunger!

Kyler has made a new friend in his quest to raise $2,000. Dr. Jay Christensen, an ophthalmologist from Harlan, was recently awarded $1,000 from the state of Iowa for his work with Special Olympics. Dr. Jay has been instrumental in the Healthy Athletes program for Special Olympics Iowa and wanted his award to somehow benefit an Iowa athlete.

Dr. Jay decided to give his award money to Kyler for the Super Plunge, even donating $250 himself to present Kyler with a check for $1,250 at the 2007 State Summer Games! Thanks to Dr. Jay for his incredible generosity!
