Be one of a few to go Over the Edge for Special Olympics Iowa by rappeling off a 345 ft building, the Financial Center in downtown Des Moines!

Join us on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 and go Over the Edge for Special Olympics Iowa.

Rappelers must raise a minimum of $1,000. Rope times will not be assigned until the requirement is met. Participants will receive an exclusive Over the Edge long sleeve t-shirt.  To participate you must weigh a minimum of 110 lbs and a maximum of 300 lbs.  Must be 14 years of age* on the day of the event. *Participants under 18 years of age will need a parent or legal gaurdian present the day of the event to sign the waiver.

 It's as easy as ...

1) Register
Register Online and set up your Firstgiving fundraising page.

2) Raise Funds
Use your online fundraising page or collect cash and checks from your network of friends, family and co-workers.

3) Secure Your Rappel Spot
Once you reach the $1,000 minimum fundraising goal, you will be guaranteed a rappel spot and we will contact you to secure a rappel time.

4) Earn Incentives!
Rappellers who raise above and beyond the $1,000 minimum are eligible for some great incentive prizes.  View incentives!

5) Go Over the Edge!
This is a big building, one of the largest in Des Moines.  A rappel of 345 feet is huge by anyone’s standards. It is definitely an extreme event and probably a once in a lifetime experience.

Want to get your company involved?  Earn the Participant Award!

The Participant Award is for businesses that recruit rappellers to go Over the Edge for Special Olympics Iowa.  Each rappeller must register online at Firstgiving and each rappeller must have a minimum of $1,000 raised by September 2* to guarantee your company logo/listing on back of the participant shirts.

*September 2 deadline is only for those businesses earning the Participant Award.  All other participants have until event day to raise their funds.  However, you cannot schedule your rappel time until your $1,000 minimum is met.
