Special Olympics Iowa West Central Area Management Team donates $5,000 to support Team Iowa

Members of the Special Olympics Iowa West Central Area Management Team graciously donated $5,000 to Team Iowa for the 2006 Special Olympics USA National Games. The funds were used to offset expenses incurred by Special Olympics Iowa for Team Iowa. Expenses included uniforms for the coaches and athletes who make up Team Iowa as well as equipment and a training camp that took place in June.

The management team raises funds throughout the year to support the nearly 2,000 athletes who compete in the West Central area, which includes the following counties: Audubon, Boone, Carroll, Dallas, Guthrie, Marion, Polk and Warren. Several members of the team will also have key volunteer roles at the National Games.

The generosity and support of the West Central Area Management Team is greatly appreciated by Team Iowa and Special Olympics Iowa.
