The Southeast Area Aquatics Competition was held on Sat., March 1 at Ottumwa Beach. Seventeen Special Olympics Iowa athletes participated, and the events included 25 freestyle, 25 backstroke, 50 freestyle and relays.

A Special Olympics Iowa (SOIA) trophy was presented by the Fairfield Middle School SOIA team to Fairfield Middle School principal, Gary Henry and counselor, Diane Messerli for their dedication and support of SOIA programs.
