Event benefits Special Olympics Iowa athletes
Coralville , IA – Join current and former University of Iowa athletes and staff for the 11th Annual Swing with the Celebrities Golf Tournament to benefit Special Olympics Iowa. The event is Friday, July 13, at the Brown Deer Golf Course in Coralville, Iowa. The L.L. Pelling Company of North Liberty is the event sponsor.
Registration and check-in begin at 10:30 a.m., and lunch at 11:00 prepared by the Johnson County Cattlemen’s Association. This five person scramble (shotgun) tournament will include a celebrity (college athlete or coach, media personality or athletic department representative) with each foursome. A complementary awards dinner at 5:00 p.m. will be provided by Texas Roadhouse followed by a silent and live auction.
With paid registration, all golfers receive cart and green fees, lunch, dinner, beverages (provided by Fleck Beverage, Coke and Crystal Clear) and a golf gift bag. Registrations are accepted through the day of the event. To register or for more information, call 515-418-2276.
